Dr. Vaughn was awarded an NIH-sponsored Educational grant to study Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) and was awarded his PhD degree in 1983. During Graduate School training, his studies included both Human Genetics and Molecular Genetics. In 1987, he also received a Medical degree from MCV. After graduation from fellowship training at UT Health in San Antonio, Dr. Vaughn became a Board Certified Allergist & Immunologist.
